Meet Our Kinesiologist

Christel Mitrovitch

Christel Mitrovich is a proud San Diego native and graduate of San Diego State University, where she earned her Master of Science in Exercise Physiology. Her academic foundation laid the groundwork for a career dedicated to advancing rehabilitation and preventive health. She currently serves as Director of Orange County for Reneu Health, Inc., a Southern California-based team of clinical kinesiologists specializing in restorative exercise, spinal cord e-stimulation neuromodulation, and activity-based therapies. In this role, Christel leads operational strategy and practitioner development, helping expand access to post-traditional rehabilitation services.

Since beginning her career in 2002, Christel has played a key role in shaping the fields of neurorehabilitation and senior care. She has collaborated with top researchers and practitioners, including several years with the Reeve Foundation’s NeuroRecovery Network, the Edgerton and Lu Labs out of UCLA, and ongoing work with Rancho Research Institute. She has contributed her expertise to numerous research initiatives and continues to expand her knowledge and experience in clinical research. In 2025, Ms. Mitrovich completed her first role as a site PI for a multi-site clinical trial.

Christel is also an active member of the Board of Directors for Unite 2 Fight Paralysis, a national organization dedicated to advocacy and support for individuals with spinal cord injuries. Her work is driven by a deep commitment to improving long-term care and bringing innovative treatment options to those living with chronic conditions. Over the years, she has worked closely with countless patients and families, making a lasting impact through both clinical practice and leadership. She looks forward to continuing to challenge the status quo and pushing for more knowledge and better patient outcomes.
